FINANCIAL LITERACY E-NEWSLETTER

June 14, 2007 / Issue 2.6

Dear Members,

The financial literacy community in California is healthy and our impact is growing. As new people join California Jump$tart there are two questions that are most often asked:

Question #1: What is California Jump$tart and what do they do? Answer: The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy is a national coalition of state organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. California Jump$tart is a 501(c)3 whose objectives are to help its members be more effective, efficient and powerful by communicating updates and opportunities, facilitating networking and partnering and pursuing an active government relationships strategy that results in implementation of personal financial literacy at every grade level K-12.

Question #2: How do you become a member of CAJ$? Answer: If you are a member of the CA financial literacy community you are a member of California Jump$tart. We know about you and count you as a member when you sign up for our newsletter.

Please join with us to grow our membership by forwarding this email to others interested in financial literacy and asking them to sign up for our newsletters. The more people we can involve, the more benefits we can provide for all.

I'm happy to announce a new CAJ$ Advisory Group member, Chauncey Veatch, a teacher in the Coachella Valley and 2003 national teacher of the year. Welcome and we look forward to working with you.

If you have questions or would like more information in any area, please contact us at info@cajumpstart.org

Thank you for all your efforts. We're making progress.

Have Fun,
Jim Greenwood, Chair
